Oil change Retreat
What keeps an engine in top shape, continuously running at peak performance levels? The answer is regular “Oil Change” i.e. servicing. In a similar manner, units, group, departments and even entire organizations also need to “change their oil” regularly to keep performance peaking.
An author once wrote – “He who does not stop at sunset to review the events of his life since sunrise will not know how to approach the next dawn”. As each period ends (quarter, half year or year), it is advantageous for teams to take time off to appraise their performance, review their strategies and execution for the given period, and plan for the next period.

- Satisfactory performance: We have either achieved or surpassed our goals. The challenge is how to sustain and improve performance in the next period.
- Unsatisfactory performance: We have come short of our goals and the challenge is to re-organize for improved performance in the next period.
